Call the vendor on a number you already have. Hover the From domain. Do not enable editing because a banner told you to. Forward to a ticketing address if you have one.

  • A scanner that quarantines known junk is still worth having.
  • Backups beat a perfect email filter after encryption.
  • Phone the person, do not reply-all to the attacker.
  • Mobile mail apps hide extensions. Be mean to unknown files.

Norton currently scans downloads and email-related threats in many suites. Treat that as a second line, not as permission to click every invoice. Confirm live email-protection wording — some SKUs are browser-heavy.

Microsoft 365 and Google already filter a lot. A suite is extra, not a replacement for not clicking.
